A UTAir Boeing 757-200, registration VP-BAS performing flight UT-5010 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Rostov (Russia) with 182 passengers and 9 crew, was climbing out of Dubai when the crew received unreliable speed indications and decided to return to Dubai, where the aircraft landed safely.

A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration VQ-BKF was dispatched to Dubai and reached Rostov the following day with a delay of 21.5 hours.
