American B772 at Miami on Oct 10th 2008, turbulence injures 8

An American Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration N798AN performing flight AA908 from Buenos Aires,BA (Argentine) to Miami,FL (USA) with 254 passengers and 15 crew, encountered turbulence at FL300 while approaching Miami injuring two flight attendants and 6 passengers, who complained about minor neck and back injuries. Fasten seat belt signs were already turned on.

Six people were taken to hospital, one of them on a stretcher, the two others were treated at the airport and released.

The FAA reported 6 injuries aboard the airplane on Oct 14th.

On Oct 30th 2012 (!) the NTSB released their preliminary report stating 2 cabin crew and 4 passengers received serious injuries as result of turbulence 30nm south of Miami. The fasten seat belt signs had been illuminated at the time of the turbulence encounter. There had been no pilot reports of turbulence in the area prior to the accident.
