A video of the flight surfaced in early November prompting investigations by Russia's states prosecutors and Rostransnador (Ministry of Transport), while the airline doubted the video showed any of their passengers or flight crew.
On Dec 9th 2019 Rostransnador reported a serious incident occurred on the flight on Aug 31st 2019, when a female passenger was seated in the right hand pilot seat in order to provide an unauthorized person the possibility to control the aircraft. An investigation has been opened in relation to a video posted on the Internet. The occurrence was also reported to the Transport Investigation Commission.
The East Siberian Investigation Committee reported on Nov 5th 2019 they opened a pre-investigation into a 33 year old woman, not authorized to take control of the aircraft, who according to preliminary data was in control of the aircraft on a flight from Yakutsk to Sakkyryr.
Russian media report the female passenger was a friend of the captain.
