A Skywest Canadair CRJ-200, registration N453SW performing flight OO-3661 from Minneapolis,MN to Minot,ND (USA), was climbing through FL200 out of Minneapolis when the crew initiated an emergency descent to 10,000 feet due to problems witht the cabin pressure. The aircraft diverted to St. Cloud,MN (USA) for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the passenger oxygen masks were released, the smell of smoke developed on board. The aircraft landed in St. Cloud and taxied to the apron, where a rapid disembarkation took place (personal belongings had to be left on board). Some time later the passengers were permitted to fetch their personal items. A replacement aircraft arrived and took them to Minot.

A replacement CRJ-200 registration N427SW reached Minot as flight OO-4184 with a delay of 4 hours.
