A CSA Czech Airlines Avion de Transport Regional ATR-42-500, flight OK-594 from Prague (Czech Republic) to Geneva (Switzerland) with 47 people on board, was climbing through about FL060 and just received clearance to climb to FL120 when instead of acknowledging the instruction the crew declared Mayday reporting the right hand engine was inoperative and requested to return to Prague's runway 24, subsequently reporting the right hand engine had been shut down. The aircraft landed safely on runway 24 about 30 minutes after departure.
