A Tway Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration HL8056 performing flight TW-123 (dep Sep 18th) from Seoul (South Korea) to Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), was on final approach to Ho Chi Minh City's runway 25R descending through about 2000 feet when the crew heard a loud noise, continued the approach and requested emergency services on stand by. The aircraft continued for a safe landing with a reshaped nose cone.

The cause of the dented nose is being investigated.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 50 hours after landing.
