An Air Wisconsin Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of United, registration N420AW performing flight UA-4801 from Richmond,VA to Washington Dulles,DC (USA) with 48 people on board, was on final approach to Dulles' runway 01C when the crew went around reporting a gear issue, they had no green nose gear indication. The crew subsequently declared emergency while working the checklists, performed an alternate gear extension and positioned for a safe landing on runway 01L about 18 minutes after the go around.
