A Rusline Canadair CRJ-100, registration VP-BNO performing flight 7R-554 from Voronezh to Saint Petersburg (Russia), was climbing out of Voronezh when the crew stopped the climb at about 3000 feet due to being unable to retract the landing gear. The aircraft returned to Voronezh for a safe landing about 35 minutes after departure.

A replacement CRJ-100 registration VQ-BND reached Saint Petersburg with a delay of 4.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Voronezh about 16 hours after landing.
