A TAP Air Portugal Airbus A320-200, registration CS-TMW performing flight TP-862 from Lisbon (Portugal) to Venice (Italy), was accelerating for takeoff from Lisbon's runway 03 when the crew rejected takeoff due to an engine (CFM56) failure at very low speed. The aircraft slowed safely and vacated the runway about 700 meters down the runway.

The passengers were rebooked onto another flight.
