A Jazz Aviation Canadair CRJ-900, registration C-FUJZ performing flight QK-8526 from Winnipeg,MB to Ottawa,ON (Canada) with 72 people on board, was climbing out of Winnipeg when the crew received a gear disagree indication. The crew stopped the climb, worked the related checklists which resulted in all gear down and locked, burned off fuel and returned to Winnipeg for a safe landing about 90 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance identified a proximity sensor was damaged. The sensor as well as the nose weight on wheel center wiring harness were replaced.
