An American Eagle Canadair CRJ-700, registration N502AE performing flight MQ-3677 from Los Angeles,CA to Denver,CO (USA), was climbing out of Los Angeles when the crew reported a hydraulic failure, stopped the climb at 5000 feet and decided to return to Los Angeles. The crew needed to manually lower the gear again and landed safely on Los Angeles' runway 25R about 30 minutes after departure.

The incident aircraft was able to depart for and complete flight MQ-3677 of the next day 24 hours later.

A replacement CRJ-700 reached Denver with a delay of 2.5 hours.
