A Wizzair Airbus A320-200, registration HA-LWP performing flight W6-1189 from Katowice (Poland) to Malaga,SP (Spain), was climbing out of Katowice when the crew stopped the climb at FL080 reporting they had no weather radar. The crew worked the related checklists but were unable to restore the weather radar, burned off fuel and returned to Katowice for a safe landing about 2 hours after departure.

A replacement A320-200 registration HA-LWE reached Malaga with a delay of about 4 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service the following morning after about 12 hours on the ground.
