A Magnicharters Boeing 737-300, registration XA-UUI performing flight GMT-801 from Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City (Mexico), was in the initial climb out of Puerto Vallarta's runway 22 when the right hand engine (CFM56) ingested a bird and emitted a number of bangs. The crew shut the engine down and returned to Puerto Vallarta for a safe landing.
