A TAG Transportes Aereos Guatemaltecos Saab 340A, registration TG-TAR performing flight 5U-320 from Guatemala City (Guatemala) to San Pedro Sula (Honduras) with 20 people on board, was climbing out of Guatemala City when the crew decided to return due to indication of a possible technical problem. The aircraft landed safely back about 30 minutes after landing and taxied to the apron. After arriving at the stand ground workers needed to discharge fire extinguishers onto the left main gear, emergency services responded and sprayed the left main gear. Maintenance workers were subsequently seen working on both left main wheels.

La Aurora Airport (Guatemala City's Airport) as well as Guatemala's Civil Aviation Authority DGAC reported the aircraft returned due to a possible failure.
