TACA A321 at San Jose on Oct 18th 2012, pirouette on runway after tyres burst on landing

A TACA Airbus A321-200, registration N566TA performing flight LR-621/TA-7621 from San Salvador (El Salvador) to San Jose (Costa Rica) with 146 passengers and 7 crew, landed on Juan Santamaria International Airport's runway 07 at 15:56L (21:56Z) when a number of tyres burst and the aircraft skidded doing a near 90 degrees turn to the right. The aircraft came to a stop on the piano keys short of the runway end almost perpendicular to the runway. No injuries occurred, the aircraft needs three tyres replaced.

The runway is estimated closed for about 3 hours until tyres are replaced and the aircraft has been towed off the runway.
