A West Atlantic Boeing 737-400, registration G-JMCV performing freight flight QY-1845 from Bordeaux to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was climbing out of Bordeaux when the instrument indications at the left hand side were lost. The crew decided to return to Bordeaux for a safe landing.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 23 hours after landing back.

The UK AAIB is investigating the serious incident, the BEA delegated the investigation.
