A UTAir Boeing 737-500, registration VP-BXR performing flight UT-705 from Moscow Vnukovo (Russia) to Berlin Tegel (Germany) with 101 people on board, was enroute at FL340 about 230nm west of Moscow when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks deployed. The aircraft turned around and returned to Vnukovo for a safe landing about 100 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-500 registration VP-BYM reached Berlin with a delay of 5:20 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 12 hours after landing back.
