A Jet2.com Boeing 737-800, registration G-JZBC performing flight LS-177 from Glasgow,SC (UK) to Alicante,SP (Spain), was climbing through FL310 out of Glasgow when the crew stopped the climb due to a problem with the cabin pressure. The aircraft diverted to Manchester,EN (UK) for a safe landing about 45 minutes after stopping the climb.

A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration G-LSAI reached Alicante with a delay of 2 hours.

A passenger reported the captain announced the failure of an air conditioning system as reason for the diversion to Manchester.
