A Southwest Boeing 737-700, registration N7888A performing flight WN-1546 from San Jose,CA to Portland,OR (USA), completed a seemingly uneventful landing on Portland's runway 28L.

A post flight inspection revealed however, that a bird strike had caused a dent on a wing, the aircraft was unable to continue service. A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N7712G performed the next scheduled flight WN-4716 instead.

The aircraft remained on the ground for 12 hours before returning to service.
