An Air Madagascar Airbus A340-300, registration F-GLZL performing flight MD-50 (sched dep Apr 21st) from Antananarivo (Madagascar) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was on final approach to Charles de Gaulle Airport's runway 26L when the crew aborted the approach due to an unsafe gear indication and went around. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 27L and landed safely about 25 minutes after aborting the first approach.

The return fligh departed 13 hours after landing with a delay of 6 hours and reached Madagascar with a delay of about 5.5 hours.
