An Air India Airbus A319-100, registration VT-SCJ performing flight AI-755 from Delhi to Andal (India) with 128 people on board, was enroute at FL350 about 80nm west of Lucknow (India) when the crew decided to divert to Lucknow due to a problem with one of the engines (CFM56). The aircraft landed safely on Lucknow's runway 27 about 28 minutes later.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 Neo reached Andal with a delay of 8 hours.

The occurrence aircraft was able to return to service after about 11 hours on the ground.
