On Feb 26th 2019 the FAA reported the aircraft suffered a wing tip strike while attempting to land in strong winds at 23:42Z. The aircraft sustained unknown damage, there were "unknown" injuries.
On Feb 27th 2019 the airline confirmed the right hand wing sustained damage, there were no injuries on board. They are conducting an internal investigation of the occurrence.
Passengers reported the aircraft made three approaches in severe turbulence causing a number of passengers to vomit. The first approach was aborted very late into the approach, the second and third were aborted too early for any ground contact. The fourth approach, to Providence, was normal.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 16 hours after landing.
