A United Boeing 737-900, registration N69816 performing flight UA-656 from Phoenix,AZ to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) with 129 people on board, landed on Chicago's runway 04R at 11:27L (17:27Z) but overran the end of the runway and came to a stop with at least the nose gear off the paved surface. The passengers disembarked via mobile stairs and were bussed to the terminal. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained minor if any damage.

The airline reported the aircraft rolled off the concrete surface due to weather conditions.
