An Air Canada Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration C-FSIP performing flight AC-205 from Calgary,AB to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 170 people on board, was descending towards Vancouver in icing conditions when the crew declared PAN PAN PAN reporting they had lost their wing anti-ice system. The aircraft landed safely about 9 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the "LEFT VALVE OPEN" light illuminated when the wing anti-ice was selected on. The valve was tested using bleed air and found performing satisfactorily. Maintenance concluded the fault was intermittent and returned the aircraft to service.
