An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N989NN performing flight AA-1322 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Philadelphia,PA (USA), was enroute at FL370 about 180nm southwest of Columbus,OH (USA) when the cew initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released. The aircraft levelled off at 10,000 feet and diverted to Columbus,OH. The crew advised they did not show any apparent damage, they would be able to vacate the runway and taxi to the terminal. The aircraft landed safely about 40 minutes after leaving FL370.

A passenger reported a number of fellow passengers as well as the passenger suffered from nose bleeds as well as ear bleeds, the passenger was diagnosed with hemorrhage of both ears.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Columbus for about 15 hours, then ferried to Tulsa,OK (USA) climbing to a maximum of 10,000 feet. The aircraft remained on the ground in Tulsa until about 78 hours after landing in Columbus and is currently on a test flight from Tulsa to Tulsa slowly stepclimbing to usual cruising flight levels.
