A Luxair de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration LX-LGF performing flight LG-6553 from Luxembourg (Luxembourg) to Rome (Italy), was enroute at FL250 about 100nm south of Luxembourg when the crew decided to return to Luxembourg due to an engine temperature indication above normal. The aircraft landed safely back in Luxembourg.

A replacement Dash 8-400 registration LX-LGA reached Rome with a delay of 100 minutes.
