An Allegiant Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration N220NV performing flight G4-500 from Phoenix Mesa,AZ to Cedar Rapids,IA (USA), completed a seemingly uneventful flight with a safe landing on Cedar Rapids' runway 09 maintaining routine communication.

The aircraft however was unable to depart for the return flight and is still on the ground in Cedar Rapids about 20 hours after landing.

A passenger waiting for the return flight G4-501 reported they were told the aircraft had sustained a bird strike on landing. The flight was postponed by 30 minutes several times, the flight was then cancelled and the passengers moved out of the airport's security zone. They were told to either seek their way to another Allegiant Airport or wait for the replacement flight 24-36 hours later.
