A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIQD performing flight LH-1410 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Belgrade (Serbia), was on final approach to Belgrade's runway 12 when the crew initiated a go around from about 1700 feet MSL due to an unsafe gear. The aircraft climbed to 3000 feet MSL and entered a hold for about 20 minutes while the crew worked the related checklists and performed a manual gear extension. The aircraft landed safely on runway 12 about 30 minutes after the go-around.

The return flight LH-1411 the following morning needed to be cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Belgrade for about 11 hours, then positioned to Frankfurt climbing to a maximum of FL240 with the landing gear remaining down and is still on the ground in Frankfurt about 9 hours after landing in Frankfurt.
