An Eastern Airways BAe Jetstream 41, registration G-MAJU performing flight T3-1035 from Aberdeen,SC to Shetland Islands Sumburgh,SC (UK) with 17 passengers and 3 crew, was in the initial climb out of Aberdeen when a bird impacted the aircraft prompting the crew to stop the climb at 3000 feet, shut an engine (TPE331) down and returned to Aberdeen for a safe landing 30 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the crew received a warning indication for one of the engines, the captain decided to shut the engine down as a precaution following a bird strike.
