An Air Transat Airbus A310-300, registration C-GTSW performing flight TS-729 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Montreal,QC (Canada) with 218 passengers and 9 crew, was enroute at FL360 near Mont-Joli,QC (Canada) when the aircraft encountered moderate to severe turbulence and deviated 400 feet above and 300 feet below the assigned altitude. The aircraft stabilized again, descended to FL300 and continued to Montreal for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft was about 200nm northeast of Mont-Joli,QC (Canada) when the aircraft encountered moderate to severe turbulence causing a temporary loss of control causing the aircraft to deviate 400 feet above and 300 feet below the assigned flight level. There were no injuries, a post flight inspection revealed no damage to the airframe.
