An Allegiant Airbus A320-200, registration N252NV performing flight G4-1304 from Cincinnati,KY to Punta Gorda,FL (USA) with 155 passengers and 6 crew, was enroute at FL380 about 70nm north of Gainesville,FL (USA) when one of the pilots suffered seizures and was incapacitated. The other pilot decided to divert the aircraft to Gainesville for a safe landing. The incapacitated pilot was taken to a hospital.

The airline confirmed a pilot experienced a medical emergency, the crew diverted the aircraft to Gainesville where medical assistance was ready. The pilot is being treated at a local hospital, he is in a stable condition and was able to walk off the aircraft. A replacement crew was dispatched to Gainesville.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours, then continued the flight and reached Punta Gorda with a delay of 5.5 hours.
