A Volaris Airbus A320-200, registration N518VL performing flight Y4-802 from Uruapan to Tijuana (Mexico), departed Uruapan's runway 20 when a bird impacted the radome of the aircraft. In the absence of any abnormal indications the crew continued the flight to Tijuana for a safe landing.

Mexico's AIB reported the aircraft sustained minor damage in the bird strike. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.
