A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N3750D performing flight DL-2274 (dep Apr 27th) from Boston,MA to Salt Lake City,UT (USA), was on final approach to Salt Lake City's runway 16R about 3nm before touch down when the aircraft was struck. The crew continued the approach for a safe landing.

The FAA reported the aircraft received damage to the left landing lights and blood splatters on the left engine.

The aircraft returned to service 10 hours after landing.
