A Swiss Bombardier C-Series CS-300, registration HB-JCH performing flight LX-353 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Geneva (Switzerland), was climbing out of Heathrow's runway 09R when the crew stopped the climb at FL080 due to a problem with the flaps. The aircraft burned off fuel for about 30 minutes, then returned to Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 09L at a slightly higher than normal speed about 55 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 29.5 hours, then returned to service.

A passenger reported the crew announced about 20 minutes after departure that they were returning to Heathrow due to a flaps issue. The aircraft performed a "harsh landing" about one hour after departure, stopped on the taxiway for a few minutes, then taxied to a stand where the passengers disembarked normally and were bussed to the terminal. They were rebooked onto other flights to Geneva.
