Friedrichshafen's fire services reported they received an emergency call at 18:43L that holes had opened on both halves of a two family house about 1nm before the runway threshold and tiles had crashed onto the road. Fire engines needed two hours to secure the roofs.
Police confirmed wake turbulences of a Boeing 737-800 arriving from Palma Mallorca had blown the tiles off the house.
Ground witnesses said they had the impression the jet was flying extremely low.
The airport however said the approach was entirely normal, nothing unusual was observed. The occurrence is currently being investigated.
