An Air India Airbus A321-200, registration VT-PPD performing flight AI-476 from Jodhpur to Delhi (India) with 158 people on board, was enroute at FL250 about 60nm west of Jaipur (India) when the crew received a fault indication for the uplock of the landing gear. The aircraft diverted to Jaipur (India) for a safe landing about 30 minutes later.

The airline reported the aircraft diverted to Jaipur due to a technical problem. The passengers were partly rebooked onto a flight Jaipur-Delhi, the others were taken to Delhi by road.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 4.5 hours, then ferried to Delhi with the landing gear down. The aircraft returned to service about 13 hours after landing in Delhi.
