A Swiss Global Airlines Bombardier C-Series CS-300, registration HB-JCE performing flight LX-1248 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Stockholm (Sweden), was on final approach to Stockholm's runway 26 when the crew initiated a go around at about 1000 feet AGL reporting a problem with the brakes. The aircraft climbed back to FL070 while the crew was working the checklists, the crew requested the longest runway 19R available and landed on runway 19R about 25 minutes after the go around. The aircraft vacated the runway via the second possible high speed turn off about 1600 meters down the runway, then stopped and was towed to the apron.

A passenger reported following the go around about 30 seconds after the gear had been lowered the crew announced they had gone around due to a technical problem and were now working the checklists. The captain later announced that they were now ready for another approach and were going for a longer runway. The landing gear was lowered, full flaps were deployed. The aircraft landed, braking was very hard and intermittent, not smooth, thrust reversers were being used, the aircraft slowed very rapidly. After vacating the runway and crossing the hold short line the aircraft stopped, both engines were shut down, four fire trucks attended to the aircraft. About 15 minutes later a tow tug arrived and towed the aircraft to the apron, where the passengers disembarked normally. The passenger added, that the brakes test before departure in Zurich already was very hard throwing the passengers forward in their seats, subsequent brakes application until line up on runway 32 also were abrupt and hard.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Stockholm for about 2.5 hours, then was able to depart for the return flight LX-1249, reached Zurich with a delay of 2:20 hours and is still on the ground in Zurich about 9.5 hours after landing in Zurich.
