An ATA Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration EP-TAN performing flight I3-5658 from Kish to Tabriz (Iran), suffered damage of one tyre (the tread of the tyre separated) on departure from Kish. The crew continued to Tabriz and performed a safe landing with emergency services on stand by.

The aircraft returned to service after about 14 hours on the ground in Tabriz.
