Indigo AT72 at Hyderabad on Mar 28th 2018, burst tyres on landing

An Indigo Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration VT-IYD performing flight 6E-7117 from Tirupati to Hyderabad (India) with 73 passengers and 4 crew, landed on Hyderabad's runway 09R when sparks became visible from the left hand landing gear. The aircraft came to a stop about 1550 meters past the runway threshold and was disabled. The passengers disembarked onto the runway and were taken to the terminal.

The airline reported the aircraft sufffered a tyre burst while landing in Hyderabad.

On Mar 29th 2018 the airport reported that not just one but all main tyres had burst.

The runway was closed for about 4 hours until the aircraft was moved off the runway.

On Apr 12th 2018 India's DGCA reported all four main tyres burst on landing at Hyderabad. There was extensive damage to all wheel hubs. The crew experienced vibrations during the landing roll and stopped the aircraft 1550 meters past the threshold runway 09R. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.
