An Austrian Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration OE-LNR performing flight OS-863 from Vienna (Austria) to Cairo (Egypt), was climbing out of Vienna's runway 29 when the crew stopped the climb at FL210 due to engine (CFM56) vibrations and decided to return to Vienna for a safe landing on runway 34 about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration OE-LNQ reached Cairo with a delay of 1:50 hours.

According to Austrianwings the airline confirmed abnormal engine vibration indications prompted the crew to return to Vienna as a safety precaution.
