A Swiss International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration HB-IJD performing flight LX-1416 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Belgrade (Serbia), was in the initial climb out of Zurich's runway 28 when the crew reported they had heard a big bang at the right hand side, they suspected a bird strike. A runway inspection was initiated which did not find any debris on the runway. In the meantime the aircraft levelled off at 7000 feet and entered a hold, tower advised responding emergency services they suspected the #1 engine (CFM56, left hand) had been affected but weren't sure. The aircraft landed safely back on Zurich's runway 14 about 20 minutes after departure, vacated the runway onto taxiway H2 and stopped. The aircraft was shut down and towed to the apron.
