An Air Baltic de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration YL-BAQ performing flight BT-222 from Munich (Germany) to Riga (Latvia), was climbing out of Munich when the crew stopped the climb at 7000 feet reporting an open door indication. The aircraft returned to Munich for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

The aircraft departed again after about 90 minutes on the ground and reached Riga with a delay of 2:20 hours.

The airline confirmed the aircraft returned to Munich due to a false door open indication.
