A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N820DX performing flight DL-298 from Tokyo Narita (Japan) to Saipan,MP (USA), was enroute at FL390 over the Pacific Ocean when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft continued to Saipan for a safe landing.

The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight and is still on the ground about 16 hours after landing.
