A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GVJZ performing flight QK-8574 from Vancouver,BC to Saskatoon,SK (Canada) with 64 passengers and 4 crew, was on aproach to Saskatoon. When the crew selected the gear down, they did not receive a down and locked indication for the left main gear prompting the crew to initiate a go around. The crew subsequently performed an alternate gear extension, again received no down and locked indication for the left main gear, the alternate indication also showed the left gear not down and locked. The crew tested the anti skid system successfully which confirmed the landing gear was fully down and locked. As a precaution flight attendants moved a number of passengers out of the range of the left hand propeller, the crew declared PAN and landed the aircraft on runway 09 without incident. The aircraft stopped on the runway to insert the gear pins before the aircraft taxied to the apron.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found a corroded sensor connector, there was no malfunction of the landing gear. The TSB described the sequence of events: "The crew referenced the QRH and performed the alternate landing gear extension procedure. The alternate indication panel in the floor showed 2 landing gears down and locked with the left main landing gear not illuminated. A satisfactory test of the anti-skid system was an indication that all 3 landing gears were, in fact, down and locked. The cabin crew prepared the cabin and moved some passengers away from the left propeller region of the cabin. The flight crew declared PAN PAN and the aircraft landed safely with ARFF on standby. The aircraft was brought to a stop on the runway to facilitate installation of the landing gear ground-locking pins prior to proceeding to the terminal."
