A Qantas Boeing 747-400, registration VH-OJU performing flight QF-76 (dep Dec 30th) from Vancouver,BC (Canada) to Sydney,NS (Australia) with 384 people on board, was enroute at FL320 about 65nm northwest of Honolulu,HI when the crew decided to divert to Honolulu due to a failed weather radar. The aircraft landed safely in Honolulu about 35 minutes after leaving FL320.

The aircraft had been involved in a similiar occurrence 4 days earlier, see Incident: Qantas B744 over Pacific on Dec 27th 2017, failure of weather radar.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Honolulu for 39 hours then positioned back to Australia and resumed service.
