A Skywest Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N418SW performing flight OO-4668/DL-4668 from Cedar Rapids,IA to Detroit,MI (USA) with 38 passengers and 3 crew, was climbing through FL320 out of Cedar Rapids about 50nm west of Milwaukee,WI (USA) when the crew initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passengers oxygen masks were released, and the crew decided to divert to Milwauee for a safe landing on runway 25L about 17 minutes after stopping the climb. One passenger needed to be taken to a hospital with the suspicion of a burst eardrum.

A replacement CRJ-900 registration N896SK reached Detroit with a delay of 7 hours.

The airline reported the aircraft experienced a sudden loss of cabin pressure, a female passenger was taken to a hospital with ear pain and was discharged following treatment.
