A JAC Japan Air Commuter de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration JA841C performing flight 3X-3768 from Nakatane to Kagoshima (Japan) with 26 passengers and 4 crew, was on approach to Kagoshima when the crew reported smoke in cockpit and cabin. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Kagoshima and stopped on the runway, the passengers disembarked onto the runway.

The runway was closed for about 80 minutes.

Passengers reported there was smoke in the cabin, the smoke detectors triggered and sounded.

The airline reported an examination showed the "smoke" was water vapour. The cause is being investigated.
