A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N727TW performing flight DL-453 from New York JFK,NY to Seattle,WA (USA), was enroute at FL380 about 180nm north of Billings,MT (USA) when all toilets ceased functioning with passengers queueing up and indicating they needed to visit the toilet. Advising all toilets were full and passengers needed to "go really bad" the crew decided to divert to Billings, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 28R about 30 minutes later. No gate was available, the aircraft taxied to the cargo apron advising again there were a couple of passengers that "needed to find a lavatory very urgently. Passengers were able to disembark to find relief of built up pressures.

The aircraft continued to Seattle after about 3 hours on the ground and reached Seattle after about 105 minutes with a delay of 3.5 hours.
