An Air Asia Airbus A320-200, registration 9M-AHM performing endorsement flight AK-9700 from Kuala Lumpur International to Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (Malaysia) with 4 crew, landed on Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (formerly known as Subang Airport) runway 15 at 05:55L (21:55Z Nov 29th) but overran the end of the runway and came to a stop with all gear on soft ground about 130 meters past the runway end and about 70 meters past the paved surface of the runway end safety area. There were no injuries, the aircraft received minor if any damage.

The airline confirmed the overrun of their endorsement flight with 4 crew on board, there were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft.

Malaysia's DCA opened an investigation.

On Dec 14th 2017 Malaysia's DGCA reported the aircraft was doing touch and gos at Subang Airport. On the third touch and go the crew rejected the takeoff, the aircraft overran runway 15 and came to a stop in the grass area. The occurrence was rated a serious incident.
