A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EMD performing flight FR-2905 from Malta (Malta) to Brussels (Belgium), was on final approach to Brussels' runway 25L when the crew initiated a go around at 1000 feet MSL reporting a problem with the flaps. The aircraft climbed FL060, positioned for another approach and landed safely on Brussels' runway 25R at a normal speed about 30 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Brussels 28 hours after landing.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-DCF performed the return flight and reached Malta with a delay of about one hour.
